The Regency Pelagus Resort is difficult to reach. And visitors prefer it that way. For it is truly located in the heart of Borneo, set amidst a rainforest which is otherwise inaccessible. Visitors can arrange to be picked up from Kapit by Resort launch for 45 minutes ride to the resort. Or they can charter a helicopter to get there. After all the hours, the days, the adventure, the experience of journey, it certainly will seem true that "getting there is half the fun". But once you arrive, you will still be amazed at what the Regency Pelagus Resort has to offer as if you'd stumble upon one of the last paradises on earth, complete with luxury accommodation.

The Resort is designed in the classic Iban wooden Longhouse style which blends seductively with its natural surroundings. Each of its 40 comfortable room includes private balcony with either forest or river view, mosquito proofing, hot water, ceiling fan and attached bathroom. Deluxe Rooms also includes air conditioning. The décor is Sarawakian, with bamboo curtains, hand woven rotan mats and handcrafted furniture.

The Bungai Nuing Coffee Terrace & Bar serves fine western and local cuisine, with emphasis on exotic traditional fare such as pangsoh, a delicious chicken baked in bamboo. The rooms, restaurant, and bar offer stunning up close views of Pelagus Rapids.
