Full Day Sepilok Orang Utan
Ex-Sandakan
08.00am - Meet upon arrival on MH2042 ETA 0740hrs and drive for 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
08:40am - 09:10am - Watch the scheduled video documentary show at the Sepilok Information building. The 20 minutes video show will give you an insight of the Orang Utan rehabilitation process and its threats to survival.
09:10am - 10:30am - Proceed to Sepilok Forest Reserve, orphaned and injured Orang Utans are brought to Sepilok to be rehabilitated to return to forest life. Sepilok is a primary lowland forest, a fine showcase of Borneo’s remaining rain forest. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan from a platform in the forest.
10:30am - 12:45pm - Continue your rainforest adventure to visit one of the nature trails and experience a walk in the Bornean rainforest, see the diversity of plants, observe the 30 - 50 metres tall dipterocarp trees, more than 100 years old liana, the wild flowers and fascinating insects. Sepilok has recorded more than 250 species of birds, good chances of sighting macaques, leaf monkeys and other mammals. The reserve is a source of seed material for the enrichment of other forested areas and remains a living gene bank of resources.
13:00pm - 14:00pm - (Lunch)
14:15pm - Transfer to Sandakan airport for your return flight to Kota Kinabalu at MH2705 ETD 1515hrs.
