Day 1 -
Kota Kinabalu
- Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, meet and transfer to the
hotel. check-in, rest of the day, free at leisure
Day 2 -
Kinabalu Park
- Breakfast and meet at hotel lobby (KK City : 08:30am/Nexus : 09:30am).
Proceed to Kinabalu Park. Upon arrival, register and check in at the Park
Headquarters. Lunch at Park Cafeteria. Free at leisure. Dinner at Park's
Cafeteria. Overnight at Park Hostel. (dormitory/B,L,D)
Day 3 -
Mount Kinabalu Laban Rata
- Breakfast at Park's Cafeteria. After breakfast, check out from park
hostel and meet up with the assigned mountain guide at Park Headquarters.
A van will then transport you to the Power Station, which is the starting
point of the climb. Packed lunch is provided. Dinner at Laban Rata
Cafeteria. Overnight at one of the Mountain Huts. (dormitory/B,PL,D)
Day 4 -
Mount Kinabalu Summit
- 03:00am, from Mountain Hut, ascend to the highest summit Low’s Peak
(13,445 ft) and catch a glance of the morning sunrise, return to Laban
Rata Cafeteria for breakfast. After breakfast, directly trek down to the
Park Headquarters for lunch at the Park Cafeteria. From Park Headquarters,
transfer back to hotel at Kota Kinabalu. (B/L)
Things to bring by
climbers : Hat, 2 pair of gloves/socks for cold weather, sweater,
windbreaker, water, sunblock lotion, tissue paper, hiking shoes, torches,
insect repellent and a change of clothes.
