Day 1
Meet and transfer to Hotel, Kota Bharu Sightseeing - features Malaysia most famous and colourful central market (Pasar Siti Khatijah) where majority of the traders are women, kite making centre, Batik, Songket Weaving and silver wares factory. Proceed to Handicraft Village & Craft Museum houses many fine Kelantanese craftsmanship, Royal Museum (Istana Batu), Sultan Ismail Petra Arch, Independent Square and Museum Of Royal Traditions and Customs (Istana Jahar).

(Cultural centre is a veritable showcase of the living heritage of Kelantan, demonstrations of popular folk arts and pastimes traditional games. Silat (the Malay art of self defence) performances, Gasing (top spinning) displays and Rebana (giant drum) playing can all be seen at the centre. The cultural centre is open three times a week from 1 Feb to 23 Sept 2006. Performance times are 3.30pm to 5.50pm on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. For Sunday, Tuesday and Friday departure, the visit to cultural centre will be on day 2.)

Visit traditional fishing village, a rendezvous for fishing boats with intricate design. In the evening dinner will be served at Local restaurant, after dinner make a brief stopover at Wakah Che Yeh night market, a colourful and vibrant open air night market. A chance to observe the native mingle and market their products from exotic foods, perfumes, vegetables, fruits, traditional medicines and jewellery (including gold and gemstones). (B/D)

 

Day 2
Breakfast, Visit Pak Yusoff house Kelantan famous Tok Dalang at Kampung Laut. Tok Dalang is the master puppeteers and story teller that responsible for breathing life into array characters of shadow play (wayang Kulit). Our guide will show how shadow play being play and introducing the main characters; first the puppet storyteller, followed by Maharaja Wana (Rawana), Sri Rama (Rama), Siti Dewa (Sita), the Laksamana and the court jesters, Pak Dogol and Wak Long. The stories of the wayang kulit are traditionally based on the Hindu epics of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The puppets are made from the cowhide by using nails and a hammer to create the design and painting the puppet. There are several cottage industries thriving on Malay delicacies dodol and serunding (spicy meat floss). Proceed to Tumpat village, home for many Buddha temples, such as Wat Pothivihan - housing the country’s largest reclining Buddha. (B)

Breakfast and transfer to airport for onwards flight or extension stays. (B)
