Minang Cove Resort
offers 3 Villas and 8 Chalets, all centrally positioined within a minute
of the restaurant and beach. The fabulous air conditioned Deluxe
chalets, with mini bar, tea, coffee making facility. A large verandah
provides breathtaking views. Minang Cove was designed and built by the
owners in traditional Island style with local materials. The Villas and
Chalets have been built with verandas overlooking the cove and blend
beautifully with the tropical surroundings. The buildings may be
traditional but the facilities meet the high standards expected by
international guests. range of accommodation is air conditioned with
ensuite bathrooms. Rooms are spacious and well appointed so you. enjoy a
comfortable stay. The accommodation is well suited to families with a
range of options open to you, also supply cots, high chairs at no extra
charge.
Beach Front Villa This villa is
right on the beach and at high tide the water goes under the verandah.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and on suite bathroom. The second
bedroom has a queen size bed, the third bedroom has a double and single
bed. The hall hosts the second bathroom and a small kitchen with mini
bar and tea, coffee making facilities. The large verandah has a three
piece lounging chairs and coffee table, as well as a six chair dinner
table. The villa will sleep 7 people in comfort. The resort can supply
high chairs and cots for families at no extra charge
Minang Chalets The Minang Chalet is
a comfortable air conditioned, ensuite single story bungalow, built to
traditional styling with local wood furniture. The rooms are spacious
and include their own veranda with stunning views over the cove. Each
chalet can sleep up to 4 people in comfort. The resort can supply cots
and high chairs for families at no extra charge.

FACILITIES
Minang Cove has superb
natural facilities available on its beach front setting, up on the
jungle trek, out on on one of our four boats or just lazing on our
decking area relaxing with a long cool drink.
Shop small shop stocks all the basic
toiletries, just in case you have forgotten!
Tioman Dive Centre Minang Cove has a prime
dive area around the southern tip of Tioman Island which is generally
untouched by other Dive Schools. You are also able to dive from the
jetty and enjoy the plentiful marine life. The dive shop has bottles,
compressor and weights.
Golf A short boat ride away is the
Tiomans only 18 hole golf course. Enjoy a swim on the back nine our a
relaxing drink at the bar. The Tioman Island Golf Club has excellent
facilities on offer, before during and after you play.

Bar & Restaurant The restaurant is the
centre of Minang Cove with its impressive views and stunning sunsets.
The restaurant and bar are open throughout the day.
GETTING
AROUND
Air services to Tioman
are operated by Berjaya Air, which has a daily service. The flight
leaves Kuala Lumpur for Tioman, then heads to Singapore, from where it
returns to Tioman and then Kuala Lumpur. The schedule is as follows:

During the main holiday season,
one or two extra flights per day are common; on busy weekends there can
be as many as seven flights per day. Not all of these include the
Singapore leg.
By
Land/Sea
If you are not flying to Tioman, the alternative is land/sea travel.
Ferries to Tioman leave from the town of Mersing on Malaysia’s east
coast. You can get to Mersing from most points of the compass by bus.
Kuala
Lumpur-Mersing
Transnasional operates direct from KL to Mersing from Puduraya Bus
Station. Departures are at 11.00 am, 10.30 pm and 11.00 pm. Travel time
is approx. 6 hours and the fare is RM 19.50 single. Tel: +60 3 20311430.
Singapore-Mersing
Transnasional operates direct from Singapore to Mersing from the
Kallang Bahru/Lavender Street junction (lorry park). Departures are at
9am, 10am and 10pm. Travel time is approx 4 hours and the fare is S$
11.10 single.
An alternative route is via Johor Bahru from the terminal at Queen
St/Ban San St. Take the Singapore-Johore Express directy to Larkin Bus
Terminal in JB, Malaysia. (S$2.40). From LBT, take Adikberadkik Express
service at 9.00am, 10.00am, 9.00pm and 10.30pm (ticket counters no 6 &
30) or Transnasional service at 10.00 am, 11.00am, 10.30pm and 11.00 pm.
By Road
From Kuala Lumpur take the Highway to Johor but exit at Ayer Hitam.
(2hours, 30min) From the Ayer Hitam exit, turn right towards Kluang and
then on to Mersing. Total journey time approximately 4 hours 30 min. |
