The Sibu group
of island consists of Sibu Besar, Sibu Tengah, Sibu Hujung and Sibu
Kukus (Coral Island). SIR is located at Sibu Tengah island, east coast
of Johor, Malaysia. and comprises of 20 acres in size and surrounded by
white sandy beach.
ROOM
AMENITIES
121 unit of elegantly furnished
air-conditioned chalets, all majestically overlooking the vast emerald
ocean and enjoying its rejuvenating breeze, awaits all guests for that
idyllic peaceful get-away.The room and suites are designed in typical
Malay architecture with modern facilities, air-conditioning and equipped
with IDD phone, coffee and tea making facilities, mini bar, colour TV
with direct telecast and hot shower.
Superior Chalet
There are 36 superior rooms.
There is either 1 king size or 2 twinbeds in the room. Good for 2
persons. Most of the chalets are mountain view or garden view.
Deluxe Chalet
There are 1 queen
size and 1 single bed in the room. Suitable for 3 persons. No living
room. There are some sea-facing chalet available
Serindit Suite 1 room Executive chalet with
living room. There are 16 chalets. A room with 2 beds, one queen size
and 1 single bed. A fine version of Serindit suite is the honeymoon
suite (only 3 honeymoon chalet) located at the hilly side and facing the
sea. Certainly the best choice for newly wed. There is 1 king size bed
with spanish style decoration at the honeymoon suite.
Layang-Layang Suite 2 room semi-detach
exc.chalet. There are 16 chalets. In the room there is a king size bed
and at the other room, 2 single bed. Suitable for family room. 1
bathroom.
FACILITIES
There are lots of thing that you
can do at Sibu Island Resort, like playing tennis, swimming pool,
playing indoor and outdoor games, jungle trekking, karaoke at Suji
Karaoke Lounge. In additon, for snorkellers and scuba divers, don't miss
the beautiful Sibu kukus island or coral island.
Songbirds and
families will find the resort's games room and Suji Karaoke Lounge a
haven for unwinding and get-together especially after sunlight fades
away. Entertainment by Philippines band. If staying healthy under the

A unique blend of business and
pleasure. The Main
Conference Room, with a wide range of convention / meeting facilities.
Good for small to large group
seminar or convention. The large "Tengkujuh" ballroom can accommodate up
to 300 persons. There are 4 smaller meeting room
which can accommodate
up to 20 pax

facilities, well, you name it, they have a very wide range of facilities
inclusive of LCD projector, OHP, wide screen, slide projector,

FOOD & BEVERAGE
A wide range of
food and beverage is available, like Lumba-lumba Coffee house serves
local and continental cuisines while Selayar restaurant serves authentic
seafood cuisine. The Suji lounge serves as a prefect venue for those
seeking relaxation whilist enjoying long cool drinks.
The chefs' excellent
selection of sumptuous Malaysian and continental cuisine's at our
Selayar Seafood Restaurant can only ensure a more healty appetite. For
casual chats or quiet unwinding , there's our outdoor breezy Sri Mersing
Beach Lounge and Lumba-Lumba Coffee House to serve light meals, snacks
and thirst quenching drinks. On Saturday, enjoy the BBQ dinner at the
pool site. While having your dinner, you will be entertained by the
residential artist, culture performance, etc.
GETTING
AROUND
Driving from Singapore/Johor Bahru - You need to drive to Johor Bahru
and drive ahead until Kota Tinggi (approx. 1 hr). You will reach Tanjung
Leman's jetty after driving for about 45 minutes from Kota Tinggi. You
may park your car at a secured parking space at Tanjung Leman at
RM8/night. If you go by air, you need to go to Senai's Airport at Johor
Bahru. From the airport you need to get a public transportation to Sibu
Island.
