Getting There
To Pangkor Island : Lumut town offers regular ferry services to Pangkor
Island at just RM10.00 per person. Once on Pangkor, you can take a bus,
taxi or even hire a motorbike to reach Golden Beach Hotel & Resorts.
Golden Beach Hotel & Resorts is located near the prime beach of Pasir
Bogak which is approximately 5 minutes away from the jetty of Pangkor
Island. Pasir Bogak is the most popular stretch of beach on the island
of Pangkor.
By Air :
Ipoh Airport and Pangkor Island Airport
Berjaya Air : 4 times weekly to Pangkor from Subang (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat)
- 35mins.
By Land :
From Kuala Lumpur to Lumut is about 250 km.
From North to Pangkor is about 200 km.
From North-South Highway, exit will be at Changkat Jering. If you take
this exit you will be driving along the old road. There are some little
towns on this route you will pass. Follow the direction of Lumut,
Sitiawan. At Ayer Terjun you take the junction to Lumut. It's a straight
road that passes Pantai Remis and Segari. Just before Seri Manjung you
take the junction to Lumut. Other exits are Kuala Kangsar, follow the
road to Kampong Tanjung and Ayer Tawar. It is possible to drive from
Ipoh, take the exit Gopeng. Follow Batu Gajah (road number 5, Ayer Tawar
and Sitiawan. You will find the instructions further by following the
signs to Lumut.
Ferry Transfer : From Lumut to
Pangkor
After arrival in Lumut, you have to take the ferry to Pulau Pangkor. The
ferry leaves every half-an-hour (7.00am-8.30pm) during the day. It takes
about 20mins to the ferry port of Pangkor Town. |
