Rebak Island Resort-A Taj Hotel, a secluded and charming cluster of luxurious timber villas, is the only resort on the privately owned 390 acre Rebak Island that commands a magnificent view of the Senari Straits bordering the Andaman Sea.

The Rebak Island, named after the native Rebak tree, is one of the 99 isles that make up the legendary Langkawi. The island is blessed with a balmy climate, stunning rock formations, a lush forest that goes back a million years, picturesque waterfalls, limestone outcrops, fascinating caves and pristine, secluded beaches. Rebak Island is ensconced by crystal-clear waters, teeming with marine life, that are perfect for a range of water sports and recreational activities.

ROOM AMENITIES
The timbered villas, set in clusters, are shaded by palm trees. Clumps of tamarind, coconut, bismark palm and local herbs enhance the rustic ambience. The beautiful landscaped gardens of the resort have lush tropical flora and a tropical forest in the background.

The resort’s landscape, recently redesigned by an internationally acclaimed tropical landscape designer, allows most rooms to enjoy clear views of the Senari Straits.

The freshly appointed rooms and villas are designed in contemporary tones and furnished with ethnic artefacts inspired by traditional Malay arts and crafts. With their ethnic décor and wooden flooring, the rooms exude the charm of a Malaysian dwelling. Some of the villas have tropical outdoor showers that enhance their charm and natural ambience.

Superior Sea View Rooms
The Superior Sea View Rooms, of 48 sq m, face the ocean and enjoy spectacular seascapes. They have loungers in the balcony for guests to relax and enjoy beautiful views of the Senari Straits. The bathrooms have bath tubs with individual shower cubicles.

Deluxe Garden Rooms
The Deluxe Garden Rooms are of 47 sq m. There are 6 rooms with balconies on the ground floor and 4 rooms without balconies on the first floor. The balconies face the beautiful landscaped gardens of the resort with different species of tropical floras and lush tropical forest in the background.

Deluxe Sea Facing Rooms
The Deluxe Sea Facing Rooms, of 76 sq m, are located at the beach front. They have direct access to the beach and have balconies facing the Senari Straits. Select rooms at ground level have tropical outdoor showers.

Deluxe Villa One Bedroom
The Deluxe Villas- One Bedroom, of 103 sq m, have a large living room and a dining area with contemporary stylish furnishing and a balcony with loungers.

Deluxe Villa Two Bedroom
The Deluxe Villa –Two Bedrooms, of 103 sq m, have a living room, two bedrooms and a balcony with loungers. These villas are ideal for families.

The exclusive Safa Wangi Spa offers classical Langkawi massages and therapies including naturopathy facials, nail treatments and body scrubs and wraps. All treatments are followed by a warm bath and a herbal scrub.

Private Dinning Romantic, candlelit evenings are organized by a picturesque boardwalk, overlooking clusters of fishing boats in the Marina.

Senari The all day dining restaurant by the pool side serves a variety of Oriental, Indian and Continental delicacies and a fine selection of spirits. The restaurant enjoys a spectacular view of the sea. Pendant lights inspired by traditional Malay fishing baskets and timber flooring infuse it with a distinctly local flavour. Guests can dine indoors or al fresco.

SY 69 is a stylish bar lounge with a beautiful view of the Marina and yachts. The lounge serves a wide range of beverages including special and international cocktails. Indoor and board games are available.

The Pool Bar, the sunken bar at the pool side, serves light snacks, soft drinks, cocktails and liquors.
