Meet
and proceed to Kuching City Tour. The perfect
introduction to Sarawak’s historic capital, this tour includes Kuching’s
Chinatown, the Cat Statue (Kuching means “Cat” in Malay), the colourful
Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the Civic Centre Viewing Platform and the
world famous Sarawak Museum.
Across river, visit the unique Cat Museum,
passing the magnificent State Mosque and the Astana, the former residence
of the White Rajahs. Return via the golden-domed City Mosque and proceed
on foot through Old Kuching, visiting the colourful Central Markets and
squeezing through narrow alleyways crammed with spice dealers and textile
shops. Pass by the heritage buildings of the White Rajah era, the
Pavilion, the Square Tower, the Court House, the Charles Brooke Monument
and the Post Office.
Depart for 2 hours Sarawak River Cruises - The
very best way to see and enjoy historic Kuching is from the Sarawak River,
the main artery around which the city has grown. Sarawak River Cruises
give you a view of the city and its surroundings that is impossible to

life on the river.
This cruise takes you past a host of
fascinating sights to get a close-up view of traditional life on and
around the river. The boat glides past colourful Malay Villages, the
elegant City Mosque, the Astana, Fort Margherita and the Kuching
Waterfront.. Along the way you will see brightly-painted tambangs
ferrying passengers, villagers going about their everyday activities, and
fishing boats and wooden cargo vessels plying the river.

Departure : Daily (Duration : 3 hours)
This cruise departs the Sarawak Boat Club at
sunset, to cruise slowly along the mangrove swamps in the Santubong area.
Fireflies gather here every nights. Visitors may occasionally catch a
glimpse of other wildlife reflected in the moonlight.
(Optional Seafood Dinner (pax own account) :
The firefly night cruise can end with a gourmet seafood dinner at one of
the waterfront seafood restaurants overlooking the Buntal River.)

: Dolphins, crocodiles and fireflies are wild creatures, and therefore
sightings cannot be guaranteed, although we usually enjoy a high success
